Needle Garden

Needle Garden is my studio, and I treat skin as a living archive. I do not chase spectacle; I look for the quiet places where tenderness and intensity meet. Each piece begins with listening—to your story, to the rhythm of your breathing. I work with multiple needles to build patterns by piercing the skin and leaving them in place. The needle moves like a pencil across a page, but the page remembers everything. My practice is rooted in careful preparation, consent, and the slow craft of mark-making. Lines are layered like threads in fabric, building images that feel both intimate and ceremonial.

Themes of memory, ancestry, and ritual return in my imagery: botanical forms, protective symbols, and soft geometries that echo the body’s own structure. I often work in a restrained palette and rely on texture, density, and negative space to hold your attention. The result is needlework that feels quiet but resolute, as if the skin itself is speaking. Clients describe the sessions as meditative—an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and claim their bodies as their own. Needle Garden is not about trends or flash; it is about care, presence, and the sacredness of the moment. When the session ends, the work continues to live with the wearer, changing gently as they move through time. I see each piece as a collaboration and a promise: to honor the person, the process, and the place where art and body meet. Needle Garden é o meu estúdio, e eu trato a pele como um arquivo vivo. Não busco o espetáculo; procuro os lugares discretos onde a ternura e a intensidade se encontram. Cada peça começa com a escuta—da sua história, do ritmo da sua respiração. Trabalho com várias agulhas para construir padrões, perfurando a pele e deixando-as ali. A agulha se move como um lápis sobre a página, mas a página lembra de tudo. Minha prática é baseada em preparo cuidadoso, consentimento e no ofício lento de construir marcas. Linhas se sobrepõem como fios em um tecido, formando imagens que são íntimas e cerimoniais ao mesmo tempo.

Memória, ancestralidade e ritual retornam nas minhas imagens: formas botânicas, símbolos de proteção e geometrias suaves que ecoam a própria estrutura do corpo. Trabalho com paleta contida e confio em textura, densidade e espaço negativo para sustentar o olhar. O resultado é uma needleart silenciosa, porém firme, como se a pele estivesse falando. Os clientes descrevem as sessões como meditativas—uma oportunidade de desacelerar, respirar e reivindicar o próprio corpo. Needle Garden não é sobre tendências ou impacto rápido; é sobre cuidado, presença e a sacralidade do instante. Quando a sessão termina, o trabalho continua vivendo com quem o veste, mudando suavemente conforme o tempo passa. Eu entendo cada peça como colaboração e promessa: honrar a pessoa, o processo e o lugar onde arte e corpo se encontram.
